Wisconsin, the Dairy State, welcomes the World Dairy Expo to Madison this week. The Expo features exhibits, contests, judging and facilitates the purchase and sale of dairy cattle from all over the world. This year the Expo celebrates 50 years of hosting dairy farmers and supporters with a grand show.
Over 77,000 dairy industry enthusiasts will attend. More than 3,000 of them from 94 foreign countries. There are over 800 company exhibitors from 24 countries. In attendance will be over 2,000 head of cattle representing the 7 dairy breeds. For these few days Madison, Wisconsin becomes the center of the dairy universe.

Implement manufacturers, equipment suppliers and support firms make up the exhibitor list. Families and industry insiders all attend to see what is new, how others are approaching various problems and what to expect in the future.
Wisconsin’s dairy industry history and heritage builds a sound base for this annual event. Most the milk produced in Wisconsin is used in the production of over 80 varieties of cheese. Our Master Cheesemakers are in attendance at the Expo and are featured at the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board booth where they are serving grilled cheese sandwiches daily.
