Writing about food can be as fun as eating it when enough descriptive adjectives are at the tips of your fingers. Food writing can be painful when all I can think to say is, “It was good”. Today I offer version 1 of a food-blogger’s thesaurus which the food writer may consult when searching for just the right word to describe good food. Version 2 will come later; it is a thesaurus of words to describe bad food. But since I tend to write about my successes cooking rather than my mistakes, first I offer words in praise of food.I also offer Helen Myhre’s recipe for blueberry muffins which she daily served at her Osseo, WI restaurant, The Norske Nook. To make the muffins a fun food for kids on patriotic holidays, I baked the muffins in foil, star-shaped baking cups with red, white and blue decorations.
But first, V.1 of a thesaurus for a food blogger:
A is for aromatic and awesome
B is for beautiful and bountiful
C is for colorful and crunchy
D is for delicious and delicate
You get the idea, so click on “Continue reading…” if you want more words and the blueberry muffin recipe.
